Doug Ruck for Wood County Probate & Juvenile Court Judge
In his almost 28 years of law practice centered in Pemberville, Perrysburg and Bowling Green, Doug has handled nearly every type of case heard in the Wood County Probate and Juvenile Court. He is experienced in probate and estate planning, trust and estate litigation, real estate and business law and land use, including zoning and agricultural law.
He has handled countless cases in Probate Court, including estates, guardianships, adoptions, legal name changes, wrongful death hearings and trust/estate litigation. In Juvenile Court, Doug has represented youth and families in custody, child support and delinquency matters and frequently litigated subpoena and privilege issues in abuse/dependency and neglect cases.
Doug has represented local governments by serving as a Village Solicitor in Luckey, OH, for several years, and as the Village Solicitor for Gibsonburg, OH, for the last 16 years.
If elected as Judge of the Wood County Probate and Juvenile Court, Doug will approach every case with fairness, respect for the law, and compassion for the people involved. His reputation for treating all parties with fairness and respect reflects his readiness to serve.

17 years as Gibsonburg Village Solicitor, previous service as Luckey Village Solicitor, plus extensive professional and community service.
Experience Working with Youth
Scout leader for more than 20 years, father to three Eagle Scouts, longtime volunteer advisor for Eastwood Mock Trial and other youth-focused organizations.
Experience When Judgment Matters
Extensive litigation experience with probate matters, federal court litigation, and children’s matters, including 28 years as lead counsel for Children’s Resource Center.
